Beth Bromen, Executive Director, came to Dakota Woodlands with 20 years of human services experience. She offers expertise in organizational management, shelter operations, and fundraising. “It is a privilege to be part of the Dakota Woodlands family and contribute to the well-being of our clients.”
John Berns is an Eagan based Intellectual Property Attorney with 14 years of experience in both corporate and law firm settings. He joined the board of Dakota Woodlands after years of following their work in the community because he felt it provided a highly successful model of helping homeless women and their families turn their lives around. John is proud of how DW works to provide not only shelter, but also life skills for the women and children we serve.
Diana Harms is a Senior Vice President at Christensen Group Insurance and has over 25 years of experience. The majority of her career has been dedicated to assisting health and human services organizations. Diana also sits on the Financial Resources Committee of ARRM, a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing community-based services that support people living with disabilities. “I am thrilled to serve DW and contribute to their on-going success.”
Troy Tatting is an attorney at Robins, Kaplan LLP, in Minneapolis. He has represented both businesses and individuals in complex commercial, class action, and mass tort litigation. He volunteers his time representing victims of domestic violence through the Tubman Safety Project. Mr. Tatting lives in Eagan with his wife Tanya and three children. “I am thrilled to serve the community by assisting in the continued success of Dakota Woodlands."
Gail Miller is a Certified Public Accountant and Partner with CliftonLarsonAllen and has more than 18 years of public accounting and consulting experience devoted almost exclusively to the health care industry. She specializes in conducting feasibility studies, financial projections, market assessments, and strategic capital planning for senior living and health care organizations. “I am excited to be part of DW and its work in empowering homeless women and their families!”
Frank Fidler, President, is the Director of Facilities, Safety and Corporate Security for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. He has over 25 years of experience in real estate, facilities and corporate services supporting safe and efficient corporate work environments. "I'm excited to be part of an organization that does such good work in the community."
Barbara Hirsch, psychotherapist, comes to Dakota Woodlands with 35 years of experience in providing therapy services to children, families and adults, 25 of those years in Dakota County.
She also has developed a treatment center and treatment programs from the ground up.

Ann Mamer Lloyd is Vice President of Marketing at Ecolab. She has over 20 years experience in brand and business management, strategic planning, marketing and finance in both consumer products and service companies. “I am honored to be involved with Dakota Woodlands, an organization that provides shelter and services to women and their families. Through this organization, I have an opportunity to give to the community my family and I live in. Today I may be the person with the ability to help, but tomorrow, I may be the recipient of someone else’s volunteer efforts.”
Kim Heckmann is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Twin Cities Spine Center and casually at health partner’s Urgent Care Clinics. She provides a full scope of care for patients with acute and chronic spine conditions including clinic, operative and hospital based care. She currently resides in Eagan, MN with her husband of 20 years and 2 children. "I have had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Face To Face Health and Counseling services in the past and look forward to being involved with Dakota Woodlands."
Cecile Schauer is Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Thomson Reuters. She and her husband have been residents of Eagan for 20 years. Cecile joined the board of Dakota Woodlands in 2012 and is committed to supporting the mission of providing shelter and supportive services to women and their families.
Todd Williams is the Sr. Group Manager of Merchandise Segmentation at the Target Corporation; a role that he has held since 2005. Prior to that, Todd has held multiple roles within Target’s merchandising area since joining the company in 1995. Todd recently completed 6 years of service on the National Board of University of Minnesota’s Alumni Association. In his work at the University of Minnesota, he has served on the CEO Search, Finance, Marketing and Communications Committees, as well as, appointed as the Alumni Association representative on the University Senate’s Honors Committee. Todd looks forward to assisting Dakota Woodlands’ in its mission.
